Using 2006 data in 2004

I downloaded the trial version of the 2006 software today and copied the data files to the data folder in 2004. I then deleted the 2006 trial, and 2004 now has the updated map. Has anyone else tried this? I wonder if the 60 day trial time will affect the data files that I moved?
