OK, still do not have color being saved by map.printout into .mdi file.
Works fine saved at .ptm with map.save.

I do have the .gif save working nicely now with the proper dimensions and aspect...

EXCEPT for the DPI, it's only 96...

if i could boost that somehow to 200 or 300, that would be great, and my problem would be gone...

Thumbs up Re: using MapPoint.Map.PrintOut gives b/w output

    Resolved!

The problem was a MODI driver that was set to fax ccitt-4 as the default output.
I tried the add/remove progs on ms ofc but could not get to MODI area.
I installed ofc 2007 as an upgrade over my ofc 2000 and outlook 2003 combo.
That forced a new MODI driver, which i had to install by going to add/remove - ofc 2007 tools.....
Once i went to properties/General/Printing Preferences/Advanced and set MDI as opposed to TIFF, it works great. I am now getting color output.

Thank you all for your assistance in getting this thing working...
    Appreciated,
    G

Wow! Glad to hear you got it fixed. I looked for the MODI driver on a couple of my computers, but it wasn't there. I was going to try to download it or install from the disks. Thanks for following up and letting us know how it was solved in case someone has the same or a similar problems and searches and comes across this thread. Have a good weekend.
