| Nextel GPS
If you have a laptop or other portable PC and the proper interface cable you can get the GPS coordinates from your phone. Hook the phone to your laptop via the interface cable, enable your GPS on you NEXTEL, ensure your NEXTEL NMEA feature is set to on. Then go to your Map Point tools and go to Tools/GPS/ Tracking. (You may need to ensure that the proper com port is being utilized in the settings options.) Once the GPS is enabled and the GPS function of mappoint is enabled you will see an automobile icon of your current position. In order to actually store this info you will need to place a push pin and manually input the GPS info in the info box. This may be different w/ Map Point 2004. I am currently utilizing 2002. |
