| I thought I was all alone with my problems in MP until I discovered this forum! My VB project is NEARLY finished and all in all, my first experience with MP has not been TOO horrendous!...Just one problem to go before I can release it to my customer: I need to set the travelling time for each waypoint based on the travelling time calculated by MP PLUS a "Time Of Day" factor. I have built up a table of time factors to allow for rush hours etc. For arguments sake, let's say that MP has calculated a journey time of 10 minutes. Now, if that journey is done at 6:00AM, then MP is spot on.....BUT....What happens if the journey is done at 8:30AM when traffic is at its maximum? What I WANT to do, is to multiply the 10 minutes by a factor of x to give me a more realistic journey time. I don't want to change the preferred roads or road speeds, because it's only THAT part of the journey that I want to adjust. I can SORT of get round the problem by setting an extended stop time at the waypoints, so that the next segment of the journey starts at the adjusted time, but I CAN'T seen to get MP to SHOW the adjusted time. For example, between two waypoints: Start Time: 4:00AM for a journey of 40km, MP shows me a travelling time of 30 minutes (which I'm HAPPY with) i.e. Arrival Time of 4:30AM Start Time 8:30AM: For the same journey, MP shows me an Arrival Time of 8:30AM, which in reality would actually be approximately 9:10AM I can set the stop time for the second waypoint to 40 minutes, so that the next segment of the journey is actually correct. My question in a very round about way is "Can I tell MP that the Arrival Time at waypoint 2 is 9:10AM"? |

| Re: Varying travelling time by "time of day"
I thought (I have seen) there was an argument/method you could add to a waypoint etc, to indicate a halt time. (eg a drop off) This could easily be "flexed" to suit your purpose, I am sure |
