    VB and control

I would liketo use mappoint control as an add-on to an application. But dont wish to force users into buying mappoint. Is there a way of detecting an error if user machine has no licence, without having to do two versions 1) with control 2)without control
    Help!

Microsoft offers run-time license for Mappoint ActiveX Control if you don't want your customers to buy a full version of Microsoft Mappoint. Your application with Mappoint Control cannot run if no Mappoint either a full version or the control is installed. You may detect the error in your application.

    VB and Licence

Just to double check. Is the only way of making this work (dont want to buy runtime licences (would need 60-70) and will tell the user if he wants it buy it.
To do this would I need two forms one with the control and one without the control?

Sorry to be pedantic. But it seems the only way around. Any brighter ideas  out there :?:
