    VB e MapPoint

    Hi!
    I'm an italian user, sorry for my english...
    I want to add in my app in visual basic 6 the activeX control for mappoint (and here no problem)
    My goal is to get the coord from the gps (also here no problem) and then view automatically the position on the map.
    Which is the right way to do this?
    I wrote:

    MappointControl1.ActiveMap.GetLocation LAT, LONG
    MappointControl1.ActiveMap.Location.GoTo

    but it seems not working

    Thank you for your answers

    Location Object

    Ok. The GetLocation Method will return a Location object. From there you can Add a Pushpin to a Dataset on the Map.

    Code would be something like this:

    Dim objLoc as Mappoint.Location
    Dim objPush as Mappoint.Pushpin

    objloc = MappointControl1.activemap.Getlocation(Lat,Long)

    objPush = MappointControl1.activemap.addpushpin(objLoc)

    Ok! Now it works.
    I have understood that i must put a pushpin
    At this point, i want to associate the pushpin with the coord given by the GPS (no problem for this) and move the pushpin.
    Now, how to move the pushpin??

    tnx

    The way I've done this in the past is to place the "add pushpin" code into a sub that's called when the gps receiver gets new data. Rather than move the pushpin (not sure that you can) delete it and recreate it.
