Hello... I posted an earlier topic but have since found some additional information and am hoping someone might have some ideas...

When i open my form containing the map (I define my dataset and then link it to MapPoint) and my Access table already contains the vehicles i am tracking, everything works as expected. But when i add a new vehicle to my Access table and then "update the link" (.UpdateLink) "something" seems to happen to the map and although the new pushpin is displayed, MapPoint will not allow the balloon to remain open and seems to have "issues" with this new pushpin. The data in the table for this pushpin is correct and if i close the form, then reopen it (again, defining the dataset and linking it) all works great until a new push pin is added.

Any ideas ? Also, does anyone know of a location with code snippets for VB6 (yes, i know, but it is a legacy app with no time to rewrite in .Net) , reading from an Access table and assigning unique pushpins to each record ?

Thank you very much in advance...
