    VC++ doesn't find MapPoint 2006 ActiveX control

    Hi,
    I have a problem with VC ++ (6.0 |2005) and MapPoint 2006 ActiveX control. When I try to add MapPoint 2006 ActiveX control to a dialog in dialog designer,(through context menu "Add ActiveX control ...") I see no MapPoint 2006 ActiveX control in the list of ActiveX Controls. But in MS-Word, C# 2005 with this control all is OK. I have reregistered the MapPoint 2006 ActiveX control with ActiveX Control test container. No results. Earlier I did it many times with VC++ 6.0 and MapPoint 2004. Please, help me to resolve this problem.

    You need to add the component to the Visual Studio IDE toolbar. Right-click the components toolbar, and select "Customize..."

    Re: VC++ doesn't find MapPoint 2006 ActiveX control

    Hi DrNobody,

    I use VC++6.0 too, I just do following:
    Project -> Add to Project -> Components and Controls -> Registered AciveX controls. There you need to look for Microsoft Mappoint 13.0. That's the one of Mappoint2006.

    The other way is:
    Claswizard -> New Class -> From a typelibrary... and than look in the Mappoint directory for the .tlb-file.

    I hope this will help.

    Thumbs up Re: VC++ doesn't find MapPoint 2006 ActiveX control

    To Paul Larson and VC_Man

    Yes, yes, yes.
    Thank You very much Paul and VC_Man. Yesterday I have done this. I have found the same solution. With MapPoint 2004 was simpler But in any case thank You.
