Here's a great review of Virtual Earth, in particular the geocoding accuracy by William Harnett, Online Innovations Editor at the Palm Beach Post. In the article, Mr. Hartnett demonstrates not only a terrific sense of humor, but also that the Virtual Earth geocoder is vastly superior to that of our competitor that, as usual, shall remain nameless on this blog but begins with "G" and ends with "oogle."
Mr. Hartnett compares the geocoders of the two mapping offerings and offers the following results:
"In the head-to-head, closest to the pin contest, Microsoft’s geocoder beat Google’s in 341 of 400 cases, with four ties. That’s an 85.25 percent winning percentage for Virtual Earth, people."
I am lifting his screenshots and providing here but I encourage you to take a look at his review. It's a good read.
