Virtual Earth and OpenLayers

I now have a Virtual Earth version of my "EcoMap Costa Rica" map up and running:

http://www.ecomapcostarica.com/map/index_ve.shtml

This works better with Internet Explorer. There's a minor bug with CSS / OpenLayers / Virtual Earth in Firefox where the Virtual Earth tile does not take the full 100% width of the div. The work around is not to use 100% width divs, but that doesn't work with the template I'm using.

For this application, Virtual Earth does not add anything when zoomed in far - in fact this is the reason I chose not to use Virtual Earth as the main platform. However, Virtual Earth does add much better coverage of the wider Costa Rica - much better than I could reasonably afford or provide!
(for better zoomed-in maps, see the MapServer WMS version, here: http://www.ecomapcostarica.com/map/index.shtml )

A 'how to' article is currently being written, and this will use an example that does not suffer from the '100% width' problem.
