| Virtual Earth & Toucan Navigate Webcast For those of you who are curious how Virtual Earth can serve as your base layer and then you can easily import data sets and view them inside of Virtual Earth, I encourage you to attend an upcoming web cast October 18th at 2pm eastern time. Join Information Patterns to learn about their latest version of Toucan Navigate 2007. Toucan Navigate (which I covered in a previous blog entry) is an easy-to-use desktop mapping software that lets you display your information over readily available detailed road maps and satellite images from Virtual Earth. If you are eager and like to try things out, you can even download a free trial version of the software here http://www.infopatterns.com/ I continue to be impressed by all the out of the box functionality, and honestly how simple it is to import a shp file to look at it.
