weather.com Using Virtual Earth

I have been meaning to mention, I go to weather.com almost daily, and have been very impressed with the new weather map powered by VE.

(This is an aside but for a long time it seemed weather.com was messed up and very slow due to the ads so I was using Yahoo weather, either weather.com has cleaned up it's act or the technology/my bandwidth and cpu have cought up.)

You get to the text/pitch below by clicking on a link above the map, makes me wonder if weather.com got a very good deal in exchange for the promotion of VE.

Local Weather Maps

We provide a variety of current and forecast weather maps for most locations around the U.S. Simply click on any map of interest to see a larger version and access even more images for your part of the country. Only satellite maps are currently available for locations outside the U.S.

Re: weather.com Using Virtual Earth

Robert Burke mentions that they are using Flash --

The Good, the Intriguing, and the Way to get Started

I did notice this the other day, when you right-click on the interactive weather map on weather.com, the context menu is Flash.
