Webservice Data Currency v Maps.Live.com v 2006

I have been comparing results between MapPoint 2006 (European DVD), the staging service for the developer MapPoint Webservice and the public Maps.Live.com. As an example take AB11 5HB. This is not in MapPoint 2006 as I believe it is a recently allocated postcode - understandable. However the public service pinpoints it, but the webservice returns no find values. Is my deduction that the data on the servers delivering the webservice is not as current as the public live service a fair one?
