Webservice-Failed to retreive map from server

Hi Friends

I have been using the webservice for a long time now, and everything was ok until very recently.

An error is being generated very frequently

'Failed to retreive map from server'
'Server was unable to process request.-->The root element is missing'

Any ideas on what is causing this error? Could it be a network connection problem or proxy problem?

It is quite urgent

I appreciate any help
