I hope everyone had an enjoyable end of year! I've been away for a few weeks indulging in a lot of eating, drinking, traveling and football and the VE news really piled up. I'll try to get a couple of posts out today to get caught up.
There's been a lot of action at Virtual Globetrotting over the past month taking advantage of the new Birds Eye imagery published worldwide. Lots of famous landmarks, aircraft, space oddities and of course more celebrity homes than you can handle. The easiest way to keep up is to add this feed of BE scenes to your reader. Virtual Globetrotting is one of the many sites feeding the GeoWeb now being indexed for search and explore in VE which you can get to from the Collections -> Explore menu like this.

oh! Way off topic for this blog, but worth sharing for those of you with LP collections gathering dust. I received a portable turntable (autographed by all the members of Stereolab!) for Christmas and have been using it to rip my record Collection to MP3s. Its way more time consuming than CD ripping, but soooo worth it. I've spent the last few days hunting down a good set of applications to make the digitizing, tagging and renaming a pain-free process. if anyone is interested in some tips to get started ripping their own record collection, email me and I'll be happy to share. stevelom at microsoft.com
