There is a topic in this list asking for Mappoint´s Users in Spain. Certainly, i think there are not a lot. Perhaps this has something to do...

My expierence, step by step:
1. I opened MapPoint 2002 (Spanish version)
2. Menu "Edit"->"Find"-> "Address"
3. I only made the selection from the combobox "Province" (a administrative division). In Spain there are only 51 provinces. I probed with 15, and i had a positive result in 9. Important: i made a selection from a list of the ComboBox, i didn`t write nothing new!!!

In resume, according to MapPoint 2002, there is not a provinve in Spain it calls "Madrid" (nor "Asturias", "Cordoba", "Cantabria", "Castellon de la Plana",...)

Interesting.. do you know if you get the same results in AutoRoute 2003?

No, but i've a beta version from MapPoint 2004, and the problem remains.
