This struck me as a little bizarre, a Windows 7 concert? Or no it's just a service from Microsoft they want you to join to give you special deals and giveaways and specials? I'm not sure what Microsoft gets out of it except it is recognized as giving things away and special discounts. In any case, I'm not sure how much they are subsidizing - who has heard of the band Honor Society? Are these kids actually all on the Microsoft payroll as well? How about $7 tickets for U2? Or Steely Dan?

Anyway, one great thing about Microsoft in my opinion, is that when they want to be (and where they have the resources), they are clearly marketing driven, business people, always with a clear message, which you can take or leave. Even if it's sometimes kooky
