I'm currently adding support for different projections and coordinate systems to MPSuperShape. I am currently looking for suitable test data (ESRI Shape Files, and MapInfo MIF files) that use non-MapPoint coordinate systems.
MPSuperShape will also have some commonly used coordinate systems pre-defined. Which coordinate systems would you like used? Let me know!
(supplying example files would increase the chances of your suggestions being implemented!)

Well in two days I shall be back in Costa Rica with the Univ. of Dallas field ecology group. This year we will have less mapping, although we will still be locating new sample points for things like butterflies, ants, and soil - all study areas which weren't covered last year.
The project website http://www.ecomapcostarica.com is live again. The maps have been updated since last year. The main map is now based on Virtual Earth (instead of OpenLayers+MapServer) and there's an additional...

MPMileage 1.3 was released yesterday.
This is a batch mileage computation tool that calculates mileages for point-to-point routes specified in a database.
v1.3 adds support for ODBC (in addition to Access and Excel), and Windows 7.
Further information, walkthroughs, free trial, and purchase information can be found here:

I've just released a quick little utility to implement the Previous & Next Map View functionality that was taken out of MapPoint 2009. This was implemented by the two (left & right) arrow buttons in previous versions of MapPoint, and allowed a user to go back to a previous map view, or to move forward to their starting map view.
The Back & Forward utility implements these two functions as menu items on the Tools menu, and has been released as freeware.
The utility also...

I'm currently starting to add support for different coordinate systems and projections in MPSuperShape. There are a lot of combinations out there, so I am looking for test data.
Test data should use a projection, geoid, and/or coordinate system other than MapPoint's standard decimal longitude, latitude coordinates on a WGS84 geoid (btw, Google and Virtual Earth also use this).

- ESRI Shape (SHP) files with matching...
