Zooming into own data set outside US and Europe
Hi

I have imported an ESRI shape file into MapPoint 2002. However when I try to zoom into the selected dataset, the application only zooms into 95 mi level. Note I am not using the North American or Europe mapdata and I am trying to import a shape file for India (assume any area apart from the datasets provided by Microsoft with MapPoint).

Is there someway in which I can provide for zooming upto 1 mi level into the imported spatial data?

No... MapPoint restricts you from zooming in past 95 miles for data outside its' coverage areas i.e NA and Europe.

If you need a low cost GIS for your Indian .SHP files. You can download a desktop GIS at www.ddti.net. The product is called AccuGlobe and has basic editing tools, display (pan, zoom), spatial and attribute queries.
